More than four million Americans visit Canada every year, and this comprehensive, coast-to-coast guide presents the best of everything our neighbor to the north has to offer. From the Maritime Provinces to the exciting cities of the Pacific shores, here's all any traveler could want.
All of the National Geographic Traveller books are so well done that I buy them whenever available. As all of them, this one had adequate detail for such a comprehensive title presented as highlights. The photography, as always, is wonderful.
Good all-around overview

I'm a big fan of the National Geographic Traveler books - as a companion to something like the Rough Guide for a specific place. The NGT books provide a lot of interesting background information and all the great photos and maps and diagrams that I love from the original NG magazine. A single guide to all of Canada is too broad a topic for much detail. This guide provides a good overview of the country and it's regions. I'm using this book to learn more about the country and decide where I'd like to go. Once I've made that decision, I turn to a regionally specific book.
