Preschool Age Children Love This Book

I introduced this book to a preschool classroom of 3-5 year olds after learning one of the girls in my classroom really liked fire trucks. The kids all loved the story and really got into the reading of this one. The book is great for preschool classrooms as it shows that women can be firefighters, along with men. Also, the book has a lot of multiculturalism in it and shows how firefighters are often like families away from their own family.

Picked this one up at the libray and my daughter and I enjoy it very much.Obviously its great for parents in non-conventional occupations to teach children that mommy's can do all kinds of jobs. Its an easy reader, but I'd recommend for children at least 5-6 years old.
