Very cute and fun book for kids

We got this book for our 10 month old daughter and she loves it! It has a foam cover with a raised foam dog and each page features a black/white animal, the name, and a small circular cutout showing a small snippet of the page before & after. Each little "peak" blends perfectly with the image on the page, ie: the spot on a dog becomes the arm of a penguin on the following page. Although each image is black and white, there are also small splashes of color on each page. There are lots of animals (elephant, giraffe, crocodile, tiger, pig, cat, etc. just to name a few!) Even though there is no "story" to read, our daughter loves pointing to the different animals and hearing their names. A very cute and fun board book for your early reader!

I received this as a baby shower gift. I love reading books to my baby. Now that he is five months old, this is his favorite. Something about the black and white graphics really captures his attention. There really isn't a story - just pictures of animals and the name of the animal below it, but I 'read' this to him every night because he has become so facinated by it. Very sturdy, lovely book, with a sort of foam cover. We probably spend ten minutes a day with this book.
