The new Blackbird Sisters mystery from the bestselling author of A Crazy Little Thing Called Death, Down-to-earth debutante Nora Blackbird is having a meltdown-and it isn't because of Philadelphia's heat wave, or an overdose at the city's Chocolate Festival. A noted Philly philanthropist has taken a swan dive from an office balcony-and Nora's friend Lexie stands accused of the murder. Then Nora's scheming parents reappear, sending all three Blackbird sisters into a panic. Now Nora must uncover the scandalous hijinks her parents are plotting-before she winds up taking all the heat and strangling her father with his own ascot.
This latest installment of the Blackbird Mystery Series was so entertaining that I didn't want it to end. As always Nancy Martin writes with such wit and clever twists that keeps the pages turning quickly! The new supporting characters are just as quirky and likeable as the already established ones. This is such a great addition to an already fabulous series!

This is a frothy, frolic in novel form with a little mobster action, larcenous parents, lots of fun and action and a cute snotty nosed baby. What more do you need? Just ask Nancy Martin, she can whip up a light froth of entertainment with all of the above, guranteed to give you good dreams about this basically loving family. Thank you again for entertaining me.

This is another delightful mystery with the Blackbird sisters . It is nice to see the often mentioned parents who are just different. The book is too short for me. I look forward to each and every addition to my collection. Needless to say this is one of a rare authors that I buy without reading the blurb about the book because I am certain that it will be well written with sharp dialogue and fast paced. Thank goodness for Martin.
WOO HOO!

FINALLY! I was SO happy to see the developments between Mick and Nora, there is nothing more annoying that a constant on/off relationship where the characters never address their problems or admit how they feel. Mick and Nora are fabulous in this book. The Blackbird women are full of surprises, good and bad, and the Blackbird parents are NUTS, but add an interesting new twist to the family dynamic. The Blackbird books are always hilarious, but this one also dealt with some darker issues that gave the book a lot more depth. Very satisfying read.....can't wait to see what happens next!
Amazing plot twists make this one a winner

Nancy Martin has outdone herself with this latest Blackbird Sisters mystery. The familiar characters are there-- Lexie, Crewe,Libby, Emma, and Mick. Characters only mentioned before come front and center. And no one and nothing is exactly what it appears to be. A good read, with vivid descriptions and very romantic and touching scenes.
