I have been reading this book for years. It started when my children were very young, and although they are a bit older, we still enjoy reading it together!! There is a wonderful message in the story, the characters are precious, it's funny, and there is much detail in the illustrations. A real fun book. Highly recommend for any age.

This is such a wonderful story of a "misfit" who found out that it doesn't matter who you are or what you look like, that "someone will love you just for being you"...it's exactly the kind of message we should be giving to our children! Not only is the message great, but kids love the "prickly, stickly" hair!!! :)
