The best thing about Montserrat was that while the characters were outrageous, they were also believable. I particularly enjoyed it because I grew up in the Southeastern Pennsylvania area and many of the settings were familiar to me. The author brought the story to life in such a way that the entire time I was reading it, I could envision this book becoming a very successful movie.

After reading this book and looking at the reviews listed I strongly disagree with the SME review. First of all, it's fiction and if you read the book desription before you buy it, there is absolutely no reason to be disappointed! The author describes exactly what you can expect in this story!! I am an avid reader of fiction novels and did not take any offense to either the characters or the language. I am delighted with how very true to form and real they are.The story is one of despair at times, but also triumph. Ann is a strong and likable character who guides Bob through his demons. I have passed this book along to a friend who also liked it.

As soon as I began reading, I was really drawn in. The characters are very realistic and the story is exciting and interesting. I literally could not put this book down!!! I read alot and this is one I would reccomend to my friends.

I love the Caribbean water, people, flavors and landscape. The author has captured the essence of Island fever.This novel instantly grabs your interest and is really hard to put down!Following Bob Fronheiser on his lifequest for a simpler, more peaceful life takes the reader on some very interesting,colorful twists and turns.It is an exciting adventure that I truly enjoyed!
