This book is about Miss Hildy's cape and cap, stolen on Halloween and she has no clue where her stuff is and she wants to go out Trick-or-Treating. She does not have her stuff so she goes to investigate. She finds some suspects but those people are not the ones who took the cape and the cap, so she goes and looks some more. She sees someone that has her stuff on, she turns her head and the person is gone so she goes home and later she sees someone walking up the stairs and it was her next door neighbor so she asked some questions and then she tried to solve the mystery.
