Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 24 years ago
This is a story of a young woman bound by family loyalty to serve out a leige to a lord who would destroy her twin brother. The Earl of Havard is a hard man who believes all women to be liars and cheats. When Allison shows up at the duel site in place of her twin brother, he immediately assumes that her brother is just a tall tale and that she has been mascarading as a boy the entire time. He promtly puts her in his service as his liege and treats her abdomidably. When word comes of her fathers illness, he is forced to recoginize his fault and escort her to her family home where he discovers that she is the only family member worthy of respect. After her fathers death, he attempts to take her back to London where he uses the excuse that she hasn't fulfilled her leige to him. She, of course, excapes and the rest is for you to read!!! All in all, I enjoyed it greatly and recommend it for anyone who wants a change from the same old heros and heroines!!!
