This is the first in the Mildred Keith series, a companion series to the Elsie Dinsmore books. Mildred's family moves to the 'frontier' after a financial loss, and lessons learned along the way serve to strengthen their faith. Mildred Keith

Mildred Keith embarks on a journey with her parents, great Aunt Wealthy, and younger siblings in this delightful and facinating read, and arrives at a new home in Pleasent Plains, Indiana. I can't believe I'm the first person to review this! The Keith home is a very domestic setting, and, though this book really doesn't have a plot, I enjoyed it very much, particuarly the spiritual reflections of the charactors, and their interactions with their new neighbors. Martha Finley has a wonderful sense of humor, and all of her charctors are original, full of color and life. Adventure and romance for children, young people, and their parents. Enjoy!
