This 'chilling' novel, although brutal and 'bloody' asks the question; is there justification for the perpetrator of such horrific crimes or is, in this case, the perpetrator a victim herself? Most serial-killers are cold-blooded psychopaths, however, there are always reasons why they enact inhumane violence upon other humans. Children who are abused can turn into revenge-seeking serial-killers, they are extremely damaged, show no emotions towards other human beings, and in their twisted minds demand retribution on those who abused them. Law enforcement agencies hunting down serial-killers do not entertain mitigating circumstances, their job is to secure the safety of future potential victims, the public, enforce the law, and catch the killers entangled in vicious circles of inconceivable violence; let the story unfold.
