In 1958, homemaker Barbara Goodfellow self-published her first Make it Now, Bake it Later cookbook in an effort to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis. With today's emphasis on convenient food preparation, this completely updated edition pursues a tradition of delightfully satisfying entertaining, with 200 easy and delicious recipes.
Wonderful recipes from the time when you used mayonnaise, sour cream, and heavy cream and condensed soups without worrying about "health issues". It is fun to just have a delicious taste of those times. Recipes are clear and easy to follow. Yum-yum.

This book was given to me as a gift so I new nothing about it, when I flipped through it I was pleasantly surprised at how good and easy the recipes sounded. Diving right in I started with the white chicken chili, it was fantastic and I have made it several times now. There are so many recipes in this book that are now our families favorite recipes! Great Job!

I flipped through 'Make It Now, Bake It Later' at a bookstore and I really liked what I saw. There is a good variety of recipes along with fun introductions and detailed heating instructions. Not all of the recipes are freezer recipes, but those that are not will keep in the fridge for a few days. I almost bought this book at the bookstore, but I'm glad I waited ($14.95 there vs $3.00 here).

I recenty spent a long week-end with close freinds and we had several of the recipes from this book. They were delicious and easy to prepare. I would recomend this book to anyone who entertains and likes to spend time with their guests, not in the kitchen. It's a winner!
