And robots aren't supposed to fall in love, but she is getting a little too close to a fellow employee...Her creator is hiding secrets of her own, and is desperate to protect them from the equally mysterious and desperate Sugita, who is hunting Maico and her creator. There is also a jealous coworker and a bizarre suicide attempter. If you like adult-oriented manga, then don't miss this!
VERY Good but VERY Different!!!

Having seen and enjoyed the first four episodes of the Android MAICO 2010 anime series, I thought I would enjoy the manga as well. Upon arrival, however, I was absolutely STUNNED at the difference between the two "versions." Three characters (including MAICO) appear in both "versions," but their relationship/interaction is EXTREMELY different. The manga is full of action, sexiness, and romantic issues - none of which appears in the first four episodes of the anime series. Perhaps best of all is that - unlike some other manga which later spawns an anime version - the character designs are virtually identical; compare this to the Sailor Moon series, for example. This makes the transition from anime to manga and vice versa much easier on the eyes, especially for those who "specialize" in ONLY manga or ONLY anime and rarely ever make the crossover. Volume 1 is excellent, entertaining, and also thought-provoking. However, those who have already seen the anime version might be a bit disappointed at the major differences.
