Max Shwartz reviews the machines, buildings and weaponry of biblical times in a short, concise and precise fashion. Though illustrations are sometimes crude, this book serves as a very nice primer for students, Though not thorough in many areas, it covers a broad spectrum, and does so in an honest fashion. Definately a good read, as well as a good reference book. Highly recommended as a primer for students, a quick reference book for scholars, but not exhaustive for the in-depth research sometimes required by scholarly work.
