I found this to be one of the most inspiring books I have read in years - and perhaps the most informative. Ms. Joubert captures the spirit of a mother's love and chronicles her journey - she never, ever, ever gives up on her child. I have learned a great deal from this book in regards to the barriers that people of color face in our fractured, inefficient mental health system and learned much about bipolar diorder. A must read for professionals and families alike. My hat is off to Cassandra Joubert!
