Lizendale is one of Catherine Bowman's first novels. Full of romance, steamy sex and dark violence, it is one of her favourites. Alexi Brandt is a strong young woman with certain gifts. She is unaware that she is not fully human until the night she turns eighteen and the man who is the other half of her soul looks into her eyes. Magni Tenoch knows he is not human. He is Talos, a race evolved far beyond human. They are able to manipulate energy and the very molecules that make up the world. He is just over two hundred years old and he is an enforcer. Enforcers hunt the criminals and deranged of their kind. The Talos are Light but born with half a soul and they must find the other half before the Dark consumes them and they are forced to choose death or Dark - the Winnego. Sebastian long ago gave up the Light but he never gave up the hunt for a special girl - one born of a human mother and a Talos father. It is prophesied that the one who rules the girl rules the world. The girl will tip the balance of the world in favour of the man bound to her soul. He finds her in Alexi. Now, Magni must do his best to protect her even as he falls deeper into love and lust.
