Quite "by accident," but by God's design, I was given a copy of it by a friend. I was amazed at how prophetic the content is, and how much more relevant now than it was even when it was written in 1983. Judson points out how worship is borne out of relationship, without which there can only be form with no substance, power, or life.There is plenty of scholarship in these pages, and Judson reviews the Hebrew and Greek words translated into English as "worship," and explores their meanings. However, he is also a master at bringing home these lofty concepts into liveable, practical applications and meanings.As a worship leader and prophetic psalmist, I was taken by surprise at the relevancy of a book written so long ago. It's a must-read for anyone who desires more than singing a few songs for worship.
