As she heads off to high school, that hope pays off and things are finally starting to look up. She has three great friends, her father is out of jail and finally, the drama is behind her. At least that's what Yasmin thinks. She has yet to learn the lessons of love as she finds out that loving those who are the closest to her is not always an easy thing to do.

Stephanie Moore has done it again. She has captured the issues that struggling families have to deal with everyday. The book should be read with pre-teens and teens and followed by a family discussion. There is much to be learned from Yasmin Peace and her family as they genuinely learn to love their neighbors and each other.
