You really get a lot for your money here! Eleven different stories by eleven different artists. Not only do you get "Masterminds, " a hilarious spoof of incompetent super villians by Aaron Sowd, Lance Karutz, and James Denning, you get ten other stories, each better than the last!. "G.I. Spy" and "Mary America" are action packed with a good dose of humor. But wait! There's more! You get critically acclaimed artist Danny Miki taking a break from X-Men and Spawn to bring you "Samurai Koimandos!" There's a little something for everyone here. Good fun reading and at a bargin price!

Komikwerks Vol. 1 is a great example of what comics can be - written for all ages. And I don't mean all ages like a puerile Disney live action flick that only appeals to kids, I mean there's truly something for everyone. A really fun read!

Komikwerks.com founders Patrick Coyle and Shannon Denton have published the first print Komikwerks collection, of which I hope there are many more. The book contains 11 short comics from writers and artists from the likes of Danny Miki, Aaron Sowd, Will Meugniot, Vatche Mavlian, Matt Haley, and Steven Winthrow. The strength of the anthology is the diversity of storytelling and style making it a very fun read. Highly recommended.
