Decent introduction to Kakuro; however, there might be better out there

I am an avid sudoku puzzler. Looking for something new to try I decided to pick-up this book to give me my first Kakuro experience. I read plenty of reviews of other products, but when I got to my local bookstore this one was cheaper than the one that I had intended to buy. This book has a decent introduction and explanation on how to start; however, there is nothing about advanced solving techniques. There is a "tutorial" of sorts at the beginning, but it is almost laughable how basic it is. When I started the first puzzle I had some difficulties after I had exhausted the few techniques taught in the introduction. After consulting some online resources I was better able to complete some more puzzles. They are challenging, and I can only imagine that my skill level will increase as a progress through the books - without the books help of course. The book is a nice size so it is easy to take with you. The paper quality is pretty good, except after some erasing of "tic-marks" I was having trouble writing and tearing (my mechanical pencil is too small - I reccommend a 0.7 size lead). However, if you put scotch tape over the entire puzzle it makes it more sturdy and much easier to erase (as many times as necessary). After reading the introduction to this book, I wish I would've sprang for the few extra bucks to purchase "The Official Book of Kakuro" because from my understanding it goes into more in-depth solving techniques as you progress through the book. Good luck! I reccommend kakuro to anyone looking for a change of pace from their sudoku days. Also, there are some pretty good and helpful combination websites that I have found incredibly valuable so far.
