I will have to agree with you Cleo Cordell, this book deserves 5 stars. I purchased this book while I was deployed in Turkey and I could not put it down. It was my first Black Lace purchase and by far my favorite. I can still remember my favorite scene (I will not spoil it for you) and it has been around seven years since I read the book. An absolute great find.

This is my own personal favourite.I loved the idea of a woman gaining empowerment in the days when all her property and riches would be owned by her husband. It's a gorgeous romp and maybe a bit more subtle than some of my other erotic work. Hmm, think that's debateable, really. I think this book has lots of underlying tension and specific imagery. And look out for the scene in the old music room - the table and vase of lilies... just loved writing that scene!Forgive my presumption in giving my book five stars. You can tell me if you agree with me - enjoy!
