Martin Godfray strikes again with this hilarious novel, "It seemed like a good idea at the time". I recommend this book to all Martin Godfray fans. Those of you who are new to Martin Godfray, I would suggest starting with other books such as "just call me boom boom", and "here she is Miss Teeny Wonderful". These two novels not only include suspense and comedy, but you can also appreciate Martin Godfray's incredable talent as a writer. The story begins with Micheal, a boy from Buffalo, Alberta who has just moved to Edmonton. During his first week in Edmonton, Micheal meets two unusual friends who want him to sneak into Judy Turner's sleep-over in hopes to create a newspaper story unlike any other. Unfortunitly, to do this, Micheal would have to dress as a girl. Micheal accepts the assignment and quickly becomes Michelle. The plan was working smoothly untill Micheal met Judy, the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. Suddenly, everything starts to blow-up in Micheal's face......hey, it seemed like a good idea at the time.
