This book picks up right were Prelude left off. The many faceted character, Betty, must face even more struggles with life and her faith. This book kept me at the edge of my seat! It was much better than the first book. I loved how Betty had to deal with real issues: loss, confusion, doubt, faith as her fiance is a continent away as a prisoner/captive. I could not put the book down! The book was helped my confront some of my questions about my Christian faith.
