How had I gotten here? Running from allies and enemies alike, I had hidden in those mountains for weeks. Now, I can see them from my bedroom window in Clementshire, the school for the elite children of Paradise. No longer am I known as Calla Thorne, escaped Divine experiment, traitor, and Rebel. I am Briar Rosenguard, the withdrawn bookworm charge of Madame Adelaide Connelly who had been kind enough to support me with an Aegis to attend her school.My time is running out as a regular human.
