It's almost as good as having a detailed script of every episode of this season! The detail that goes into the writing is beyond excellent! I didn't get involved with the X-files from day one, but I caught up by reading these excellent guides, and lots and lots of re-runs!
The unofficial guide to The X-Files Vol. 3

This is a very vivid guide to The X-Files in their earlier seasons. I thoroughly enjoyed reading and discovering all the interesting facts that this book had to give. I am a fan of The X-Files and I have watched the show for five years. I think this is a very good literary work. If you like The X-Files, I highly recommend this!
What a book for X-Philes!

I was very excited about the looooong episode summaries. These are great for catching up on episodes you (sadly) may have missed. I'm really glad they added the 5th season premiere so as to add to the continuity. My only complaint: the pictures are black & white! We want to see Mulder's smiling (yeah, right) face in color! Other than that, I highly recommend this book for anybody from the remotely interested to the fanatic like me. Great book!
great book for an x-phile

As usual, a thorough and informnative guide to the 4th season of the hottest show Fox broadcasting has ever had. What would you expect from an official guide? I have to re-examine the guides to seasons 1-3, but I think they went into more details on each episode then they do on the behind the scenes info, then they did in the other books. I could be wrong. Lots of great stuff about the episodes, which, is I guess the point, but I want the behind the scenes stuff, the comments of the writers, how the fans reacted, whether the episode came off as they envisioned it, etc. This book has that, but not enough for me. However, this isn't meant to be a negative review. It's the best book on the subject out there, and an excellent buy.

This book does a great job giving *DETAILED* descriptions of each of the episodes from Season 4, as well as the first few episodes of Season 5.
