Santa Claus brought my daughter this book for her first Christmas (10 months old). Of the many books that she has, this is by far her favorite. She loves to touch and feel the different pages. She can easily find the "touch" part of each page and she especially loves the mirrored page at the end. I'm currently online now looking for more books just like this one.

This has been the favorite book of our 15 month old daughter since we bought it 5 months ago. In addition to feeling the different textures of all the different "monsters", she especially loves looking and laughing at herself in the mirror on the last page. Her 22 month old cousin loved it so much that we bought him one for his birthday too. Guaranteed hit with little boys and girls.

I was worried about dropping the feeding right before bed. We switched from reading Goodnight Moon to this book before bed, and he didn't even notice there was no bottle because he was so interested in all the great textures. He loves it so much I bought others as gifts for friends!

I have never seen my kids go as nuts for a book as they did for this one. In the space of an hour, my 1 1/2 year old had me read it 6 times and my husband read it 6 times. Our 2 1/2 year old is just as crazy about it, which was actually a problem because of the fights that ensued. We have had the book a whole week and have to keep it hidden so that they will actually read something else! The touch and feel combined with flaps and great illustrations is apparently a potent combination.

There's a surprise at the end of this book that makes my 19 month old toddler laugh hysterically every time he turns the page. This book is adorable. The fuzzy characters make this story interactive and the length is perfect for short attention spans or a quick read before night night. This one is a must for every toddler library!
