I Remember "121" is an excellent book for Pre-School and elementary age students. It has colorful graphics to hold the attention of the readers. It teaches about family and the consequences you face if you misbehave. I would recommend this book to all elementary teachers or parents.

I liked this book and its beautiful illustrations, because of the connections that I felt with the central character, even though I came from a white, working class neighborhood. I liked to read about a black middle class family. The memories were somewhat disjointed.
