I'm just learning color theory and how to apply it in my garden so "Planting for Color" book was a perfect aide. It gives great and concise overview of each color, the feelings it evokes and how to mix colors together for specific effect. It also lists large variety of examples of plants for each color; very helpful in getting started.

This is a book of inspiring photos and plant combinations that I have come back to again and again. I have many books on Color in the garden and this is one of my newest and most enjoyable. It is not a comprehensive book of varietals and planting schemes but rather a book of beautiful photographs that will inspire you in planting your own garden. The photographs are of very high quality and this is a book that you can pick up anytime you need some new planting ideas. I couldn't disagree more with the previous reviewer. If you like color and color combinations I can't imagine that you will not enjoy this book!
