Historia Visual de la Inteligencia / A Visual History of Intelligence: From the Beginnings of Humanity to Artificial Intelligence [Spanish]

ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

A dazzling book that allows you to live the exciting adventure of human intelligence, from its origins to the great challenges that the future can offer.

"In this book I have tried to tell the story of our intelligence, which is not a static reality, but rather an evolutionary creation or, even more, an evolutionary self-creation.

Human intelligence creates itself. This is the fascinating adventure that I have wanted to tell in the two formats that we have been using since our species began writing on cave walls: linguistic and visual. The great poet Paul Val ry said that the three great creations of human intelligence are poetry, mathematics, and drawing.

I agree, although I would add some other ones. I have always been fascinated by the ability that maps, charts, blueprints, cartoons, and comic strips have in adding and subtracting from a narrative. A good drawing can easily synthesize a complex argument. Our visual intuition is so powerful that we say "Now I see" to indicate that we have understood something. Words analyze and drawings bring it all together. If Marcus Car s and I have done things well, this book should resemble fireworks."
