Happy Dog Sizzles!

A hot summer day has happy dog and jack Cat looking a for a way to cool off. It seems that everyone has the same idea and the community pool is filled to the brink with hot animal characters that got there first. What can Happy dog and Jack Cat do to alleviate the sweltering heat? An idea comes to the rescue when they see a poster for a "Walla-pa-doo," but what is it? They wonder. Well, it turns out that a Walla- pa-doo is a thing of the imagination come to life with the help of a pile of junk. They have no trouble making things up, but they cannot figure out what function they can serve. The constant heat comes to mind and they finally realize that they can build something to cool off. A sprinkler-like thing is constructed and the contest takes a backseat to the cooling off effect of their Walla pa doo. This is a beautiful illustrated book with vivid and vibrant paintings of Happy dog and Jack cat. The illustrations are so vivid that it will surely hold the attention of any young reader.
