These were peasants, who became Master Carpenters, Farmers, Fur-traders, Soldiers. The first to arrived in New France, Montreal in the early 1640's, was Pierre Guillet dit Lajeunesse and his brother Mathurin Guillet dit Lajeunesse. They raised large families that were successful in all trades, and their descendants can now be found in all points of Canada and United States. We have traced this family back over 650 years, to 1370 and found that they were very respected, hard working who put family first...They all descend from "Gilles le Brasseur (The Brewer / de Harve) dit Gillet" and his father "Brewer - Ernu le Brasseur (De Harve) dit Gillet".
