Wise Purchase as an Addition to Your Morning Devotion
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 21 years ago
This book is not in and of itself a morning devotion, however, I did enjoy the book very much. Each section is about a two minute read, so I keep it in my office at work, and read it some days on a break.Bell and Campbell give short thoughts (usually one, sometimes two pages) that cause you to examine yourself in light of who God is, though they never really reference the Bible. I have found them to be relatively Biblical in their point of view, but would have found this book to be more of an aid in morning devotions if they had added some scripture reference that backed up their point. Then this book could be a complete morning devotion in which you read one of the ditties, and then read what God's word has to say about maintaining your tongue or following someone's leadership.*****Final Thoughts*****This book has a lot of potential to be a great morning devotional, however, in its current format, it still gives you a mouthful to chew on through your day. The more you already know God's word, the more you will get out of this book.
