This book was an inspiration. Hearing step-by-step the real life spiritual transformations is such a gift for anyone striving in that direction. I have learned so much from this woman's experience that validates my own experiences and opens me up to possibilities that I have not yet experienced. It is a gift to have someone lay their life open for all to learn from. I am very grateful to have come across this book.

Mother Clare starts the book with the story of Illumination -- literally LIGHT entering and filling her body and her life. How amazing is that! This book makes enlightenment real-- for a busy mother with a job and a husband and all the distractions of life. This book moved me off my spiritual couch and inspired me to take my growth more seriously. Nothing is more important, more joyful or more real. Read this book. It is the real deal.

It was a delight to read Mother Clare's story. She is a real woman who has lived a full life in the world (mother, wife, career woman) while at the same time seeking and finding a true spiritual path, with the teachings and initiations we commonly associate only with Eastern monastic traditions. She describes all the steps of her search and progress along the path, all the way to spiritual mastery. She makes it seem like a possible journey for those of us who live an ordinary Western life.The book is highly readable, entertaining, practical and believable, and it's not only for women. Mother Clare is a person you'll want to meet.

Mother Clare outlines the major tasks of spiritual development for women through the story of her own spiritual path. She brings the mysteries down to earth with her real-life anecdotes, while helping women to find a true and real relationship with the inner divine. In studying many religions and 'new age' approaches to God, I have yet to find such clearly delineated instructions and accounts of self-realization as Mother Clare discloses in this book.
