I must say that I totally enjoyed this book. It was soooo good. I read in about a day and a half. I was ready to get through so that I could read the other two books in the series. The book makes you take a look at yourself and really think about forgiveness. This is definitely a book club read.

This is the best book of the summer! AWESOME!!!!! I love the book it was a book that gets you to think, laugh and cry. I have read many books but I have started this one for a third time. Vanessa has gotten the attention of many and and she has many more taking a good look with in themselves the Author is deep. Great Book a must read! I am waiting on pins and needles for book number 2 & 3.

I read the book, Former Rain and can't wait until the next two come out!!! I thoroughly enjoyed it. You know when I read a book in one day, it's a good one!!! The author writes in such a way that you become immersed in the characters wondering what will happen next, with the opportunity to contemplate their next move based on the changes and choices they've made in their lives. It's very inspirational and thought-provoking. I found myself reflecting on my own choices, good and bad, and looking at the outcomes. You know you're not alone when you read this. The book has a prominent spiritual foundation. Thank God for His grace and mercy. Check it out!!!!!

Former Rain exceeded my expectations. Every page was a reader. I was never tempted to skip. The characters were alive, and I was drawn into the story. I really related to Elizabeth. It was like the author was talking about me. I couldn't read fast enough; but at the same time, I didn't want to rush because I didn't want the story to end. From page one, my life was on hold. There have only been a few books in my life that have captured my full attention from the very first page. Not only was I entertained, but I was strengthened and ministered to. I can honestly say that I am a better person because of Former Rain.
Debut Novel is Real and Inspiring

Vanessa Miller has certainly caught my attention with this book. The characters are faced with real life issues that draw you into their world. You are kept on the edge of your seat wondering what they will do next or how they will handle the rain that comes into their lives. After reading this book, you will want to make some life-changing decisions. The inspiration, suspense and touch of humor definitely makes this book a page turner. I can't wait to read the other books in the series (Abundant Rain and Latter Rain).
