If your child is just starting to learn about ponies or horses this book is for you. The picture are done well. And there is a little more than the basic knowledge there. But if your child has been learning about ponies and foals for awhile and is starving for lots more knowledge, you will be disapointed. My 4 year old daughter was just thirsting for a fact based pony book, so I purchased it. She her self was a little dispointed in the lack of facts. But has more knowledge on ponies and horses than most children. If you are looking for photographs of ponies and foals then this is a great book. They have the ponies on white back grounds so the pictures do grab the attention of young toddlers. Our son who is almost one loves to look at this book. Over all a great book, just wish there was more facts.
