Get off the side of the road and back in the race. This book helps you dispel all the reasons you're not doing it and give you realistic, do-able lists of things to get you started and then keep you going. And, the authors nail us, just the way we want to be identified--by our fellow co-conspirators. It's still possible to participate in the game of love, and you start by flirting.

Pick this one up, ladies. And read it with a highlighter. Bellman and Goldstein have provided a primer for the rebound, complete with practical advice, common sense, and how-to's for those who are experiencing sea legs in the ocean of middle-aged match-making . Above all, you will find it to be an affirmation of all the things we already know: 1) we live in an age when wisdom and confidence can be sexier than giggles and glitter, 2) there are no beacons on our houses advertising "Single Woman Inside; Knock For Details," and 3) men are just little boys with longer inseams. You will find yourself on every page and the book will leave with you with a sense of rejuvenation, self-worth, and hope - all vital to our development as singlehood survivors. These ladies apply first-hand experience and understated humor to provide readers with a succinct, take-the-bull-by-the-horns guide to the task of exploring new frontiers and enjoying it. Thank you, Bellman and Goldstein, for confirming my sanity. As for the rest of you, put the potato chips away, stop waiting for the beacon company to arrive, and get out there! As a psychologist who often seeks to provide "lessons for grown-up women on how to find love again", (in the words of the book's subtitle!) this small gem has now become my preferred "go to" resource. The authors (who have clearly "been there, done that") write clearly, respectfully and insightfully. Every page provides psychologically sound wisdom, encouragement and most helpfully, direct advice on how a woman can give herself the best shot at (as the authors say) "beginning [what] may make the rest of your life an adventure." Go for it; go get it!
