Great book

I just finished this book and am watching the free seminar that goes along with it. I have read a lot of career-related books in my day and must say I was very impressed with this one. Her advice is very sound and she is continually inspiring her readers. In addition to addressing many of the "usual" topics approached in job-hunting books like resumes and networking (which she does a very good job with), she approaches topics like telecommuting, making good use of social media, work/life balance issues, freelancing, self-employment, and starting your own business. This is definitely one of the most comprehensive books I've read on the topic, and yet it remains very concise. She does a good job with each topic too; I like her overall approach. For example, she does a really good job guiding readers through anticipating objections to proposals like getting a raise, asking for flextime, etc. If you're looking for a new job (or are starting to get nervous about your current job), this book is an absolute must-read.
Great book for job-seekers. Very inspirational too!

I had the pleasure of meeting Tory at her book signing in NYC and I just finished this book. She's penned a comprehensive and upbeat book for job seekers. I particularly liked her ideas about working from home and networking -- not to mention her suggestions of music to get you going. Every job-seeker should read this book. I'm personally working with some job-seekers from her book signing and I look forward to using the ideas from her book. Thanks, Tory.
Excellent and Encouraging Job Search Tool

This book brings very specific instruction on how to do things the right way. I searched and read many articles, a few books and took a few self-study courses early in my job search, but I found Tory's book to be the most helpful. It is written on the "how to do it and practical level" rather than a theoretical level. This book has also encouraged me to stay in the race and to not give up. This book will serve those seeking a job, changing careers, or re-entering the workforce.
LOVE IT!
