Outstanding text which provides a great review of the origins of the philosophy of ethics from Socrates to Satre. Souryal then provides thought provoking ethical applications to the various components of the criminal justice systems to assist students in understanding how value based decision making can prevent corruption of the noble profession of public service. Great read. Provides an excellent cornerstone and foundation for understanding the philosophies and origins of ethics.
