The first in a new series from Williams-Sonoma, Essentials of Grilling is the ultimate source of recipes and techniques for outdoor cooking. Written by a team of renowned grilling authorities, the book features over 150 recipes ranging from American classics to international specialties. Cooking methods include direct- and indirect-heat grilling, smoking, and the use of rotisseries, and each recipe provides instructions for both gas and charcoal grills.
My husband and I both love Williams Sonoma's Essentials of...series. This particular one was ordered for my husband. We have enjoyed many of the recipes in the Grilling book. The pizza were delicious and the lamb kebobs turned out well. The seasoning really made a difference. We like this series because the food generally turns out well, the pictures are wonderful, and the recipes are pretty straightforward. The baking cookbook in the series is very well loved in our kitchen as well.

The Williams-Sonoma Essentials of Grilling cookbook is a must have for the first time griller. As the title states, this cookbook walks one through preparing a grill and various cooking techniques on the grill whether using a charcoal or gas grill. There are many beautiful pictures and helpful diagrams (e.g. various cuts of meat) in this book as well. And the recipes are superb! I have had the opportunity to prepare the Steak Fajitas (pg. 74), Classic Barbecued Chicken (pg. 169), Mahogany Chicken (pg. 170), Corn with Flavored Butters (pg. 244), and the Kansas City-Style Spareribs (pg. 281) with phenomenal results. Overall, I am very satisfied with this cookbook and will be purchasing more from the Essentials series.

This book was a gift and it was perfect. The quality was great, but the book itself is thick and has tons of information.
More Than Just Words

Received this book as a gift last christmas and like it. Good pictures accompany the written words making it a very understandable "How To" cooking book. Also there are a number of side articles that help you understand what you are doing. For example, when you go look for pork recipes they include a page showing what cuts of pork are good for grilling. I liked the book so much that I just bought another one that I will give as a gift.
