Danielson writes for teachers and other educators about her subject. Various useful policies are bruited about. Unsurprisingly, there are timeless platitudes, like the virtues of hard work by students. She also advocates that schools build up students' confidences, and should not try to relegate any of them to a "low group", because they will probably turn away from the school and much of the benefits of learning. On the key topic of assessments, some brief remarks are made about various methodologies. Nothing indepth, and few statistics are presented about the efficacies of these. Probably those are better suited for more specialised texts.
