Starting to Blacksmith

Possibly the best starter blacksmithing book around. It has forge construction metallurgy and tools. There is also art and some tips for the art businessman. Besides it's readable!

This is a great book to aid a beginning blacksmith. Lots of helpful tips, useful exercises, and practical projects.
An excellent book on general technique

I am a beginning smith and I found this book to be excellent. It spells out the main foundation techniques of forging in clear terms and has excellent illustrations. It also has a large section of work done by famous artists and smiths. There is also an excellent section on heat treating that is the most informative out of all the books I have. It is overall and invaluable book for anyone interested in forge work.
