A great story but too much detailed verbal banter between Mary Margaret and Dane. The story raised many questions. Will there be a sequel to answer the questions left dangling? QUESTIONS such as the following:1. Was the shooter of Dane caught, brought to trial and convicted? 2. Who won the gubernatorial race, Wainwright or Dunkin? 3. Did Jimmy Duggan get another trial? Would another trial be necessary to get him released from prison? Was Jimmy Duggan ever released from prison? 4. Did Sally Nesbitt have to come forward or release her father's diaries to the court? 5. Did the Nesbitt's marriage survive behind Sally releasing information from her father's diaries? Did her husband learn that she had supplied the excerpts to Mary Margaret? 6. What was Dane's recovery like? Did he recover uneventfully or suffer complications such as infection or other complications? 7. What became of Jannine? 8. Who does Toby live with?

Mary Duggan has two wishes in life. She desperately wants to prove that her father did not commit the murder for which he was convicted of and sent to prison for and she wants to get out of debt to her former spouse. She gave up her dream of college to become a Reno show girl so that she can earn money to pay for her father's legal bills. The dismal world Mary lives in, suddenly changes when Reverend Dane Barrett, a California pastor, arrives with information from a death bed confession. Immediately, Mary and Dane get on very well together and work as a team to uncover evidence to prove her father's innocence. However, as the couple gets closer to the truth, someone wants the status quo to remain in effect. That individual will stop at nothing, including another adding murder to their resume. If Mary and Dane don't use discretion and caution, they may not live long enough to ascertain whether the love between the pastor and the show girl is strong enough for a lifetime relationship. Readers will find EASY VIRTUE virtually easy to enjoy as Janice Kaiser provides her myriad of fans with a suspense laden romantic intrigue. The fascinating lead characters feel like next door neighbors and the story line, though slow in reaching its crescendo, eventually erupts like a live volcano that never stops flowing until the last page. As usual, Ms. Kaiser delivers a first class character-enriched romantic suspense. Harriet Klausner
