A great book on personal finances and saving money
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 15 years ago
Jody Humber is a certified Financial Planner working in Sun City, Arizona. His no nonsense approach to finances is refreshing and quite different than you'd expect from the average financial planner. The chapter on buying cars is of particular interest. This book was written in 1993, so prices were a bit lower than they are now, but the principals are still rock solid. He addresses the issues of leasing and buying cars on payments, and counters them with the concept of paying yourself and saving in advance. Jody is a personal friend or ours and truly lives what he teaches. You'll find that it is full of practical, logical and easy to understand principals on dealing with ten areas of common financial pitfalls - Working / Earning; Saving; Debt; Buying a Home; Buying a Car; Insurance; Spending Plans; Investing and Giving. Other books by this author include: Buying Insurance; The Financially challenged; Saving the best for Last. America's Cheapest Family Gets You Right on the Money: Your Guide to Living Better, Spending Less, and Cashing in on Your Dreams
