For anyone who isnt a teenager, High School Musical three will be out in October 2008 on the big screen Now for those who are fans of HSM (Like my Niece Julia) and cant wait so long for a HSM fix, this graphic novel is for you. The first two parts of this graphic novel were reprinted in issues 2 and 3 of defunked High School Musical magazine. The graphic novel animation style is good, leaning to japanimation/manga styling of characters. The color seems overdone, characters over shaded and darker hues done for effect that are not needed. The text of the graphic novel seems almost a disneyqued version of Gossip Girl, it works but barely...c'mon you know who the villian is! It seems like this book and the way it was drawn could have been a HSM the cartoon..and it may still be, stranger things have happened. It is similar to Lucasfilm Clone wars series. (one of the best in this series is Victories and Sacrifices (Star Wars: Clone Wars, Vol. 2)) Well it seems like pure Disney channel magic in a comic. It captures the movies in a new story line. and my niece Julia will love it..so all is right with the world! Well until the new movie comes out! Bennet Pomerantz AUDIOWORLD
