Kelly's favorite thing to do is help her dad with all his hard work around their farm. One morning, her special job is to fetch his tools from the shop. She has the great idea of surprising him with a toolbox so he'll always have his tools with him Kelly, Mark, and their mother decide to plant a garden, sell the produce, and use the money to buy their dad's big gift.
With the help of their parents and their baby brother Caleb, Kelly and Mark work for hours in the sun to get their garden up and running. The whole community, especially their pastor, shows up in full force to support the garden.
