Scout Randall wants to take advantage of the fact that her current nemesis is trapped on another plane. Regrouping and resting-and strategizing-is the name of the game. A new enemy has other ideas, however.
A run-in with a flock of strixes gives Scout more than she bargained for. Then more appear...and some of the townsfolk start acting weird. The newest pack members follow suit. Everybody is acting strangely, but are they about to take flight?
