Interesting and Unique; Never the Same Thing Twice

We've had this book for 15 years so it's gone through 2 kids. The first child enjoyed the book and read it once in awhile. The second one appears addicted to working out each possible scenario and reads it almost daily. The book works like a choose-your-own-adventure with real photographs. You are a frog and have to make one of several choices on each page. When you make a choice, you are directed to turn to a particular page where you are given points based your decision. Each decision is explained so you know why it was or was not a wise move. Children learn a lot about frogs and their needs, from food to habitat to safety. You keep track of your points and eventually work your way to the book's end (if your choices were good) or end up the way so many frogs end up (if your choices were not good). My 7-year-old is dedicated to improving his scores, and this was a popular motivator when he shared it at school. I would recommend this book beginning at about age 5. My oldest boy enjoyed it till about age 11. I believe boy number 2 may take it to college.
