I love this book! There is an excellent range of patterns from a lacy wrap, sleeveless shells and short cardigans through to several heavy cardigan jackets that would be warm and cozy. The patterns are presented in a range of gauges from lacy to chunky, and I particularly appreciate that small sizes are included (most patterns range from 32-34 to 40-42). Also included are schematic diagrams, although I would've liked a few more breakdown measurements with these. I am thrilled to find a book that presents nice fitted sweaters with a retro feel; the classic shapes provide a great starting point for customizing with different colours and yarns. If you like Vintage Knits by Sarah Dallas, check this out. Most of the patterns are not terrifically complicated, but the instructions need careful reading (I find this common with most British designs). I think that this book would be a great addition to a knitting library!

I guess it depends on one's taste, but I found at least six projects that I am excited to knit from this book. I prefer simple, elegant shapes and I hate lots of color and texture, so most of the designs suited me.
