I really liked this book..it's less of a business book than it is an adventure story. The characters are interesting...some downright exciting...and the plots carry you right along through what could have been just another series of "Business Case Studies" (read, dry). But, no, this book moves.

Insights into the reality of leadership
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 26 years ago
An intriguing examination of how each of the turnaround leaders, whose stories are presented in the seven highly engrossing main chapters, think and work. At the heart of the book is the author's focus on the nature of leadership. The concluding chapter offers the author's thoughts, which are not a simplified list of characteristics, but a subtle view of the complex reality of what constitutes a leader. In short, this is not a recipe book on how to become a leader, but a series of real-world snapshots of this intangible force in action. Engrossing and informative.
