Chase's is a great resource to anyone in sales or marketing. The item arrived quickly and I was able to use the CD-ROM that was included with the book immediately.

Probably not a handy reference for everyone, but it is a standard in newspaper offices. Lists all sorts of events internationally, famous birthdays, anniversaries of the most obscure things. Lots of fun for some of us!

This isn't just another guide to holidays and anniversaries. Chase's list is extensive, making this an indispensable resource for event planners, activity directors, advertising, and media professionals. As a former librarian working in advertising and marketing, I found this publication to be a popular source for creative ideas for special events, and for brainstorming in a team environment when everyone is stuck on doing the same old thing. I recently recommended this title to the events planner where I currently work. The price may seem high, but considering the volume of information, and the inclusion of a CD-Rom, this book is less expensive than many other directories.

As publisher of several newsletters and digests, I like to humanize them with tidbits about happy times.Chase's Calendar of Events has been my source for my 'Reasons To Celebrate,' ... It's also been a great resource for planning press releases and promotions to tie in with upcoming holidays.Oh yes, and it made it possible for me to create my very own holiday - Thanks for all the Gifts Week. ... I couldn't run my business without it. Well worth the small price for this encyclopedic resource.

If you're looking for a combination calendar, a great trivia book, and a supurb look at all the time it took us to set up time measuring systems, this is the book for you! Granted, there are a few minor gaps, but in the back there is a form to send in information about your local event for the 2002 calendar. No library should be without one!
