An intelligent thriller with a breathtaking ending

So sad to think that one of the best thriller writers alive has none of his fiction in print. I have never been disappointed by any of Mr. Hallahan's books. His previous works to this book were The Search For Joseph Tully, one of the scariest books ever written with a shocker ending; and The Ross Forgery, the best book about book collecting and art forgery ever written. However, Catch Me, Kill Me remains my favorite Hallahan book. Splendid characters, vividly drawn scenes, and a foggy rooftop rescue of a kidnapped Russian poet -- pawn in a game of nuclear chess -- from a KGB safe house that is stunning, clever, funny, and absolutely the most breathtaking ending I've ever read. I mean, right up to the last sentence things could go either way for the heroes of this extraordinary novel.I won't reveal the plot, except to say it's about the search for a Russian nuclear scientist AND the search and rescue of the Russian poet the KGB is using for trade bait. But that's the tip of the iceberg in this complicated thriller.Mr. Hallahan, if you ever read this, please, PLEASE write more thrillers. I miss your work tremendously.
